DigiGeoData

Why DigiGeoData

Two fair questions, straight answers.

Why not the free government site?

Most of the raw data is public, and you can fetch it yourself: twelve provincial and territorial registries, federal records in the United States, each with its own format, its own refresh, its own quirks. We do that fetching on a schedule — every week for Canadian claims, every month for US claims — harmonize it into one model, and serve it live into QGIS, ArcGIS, MapInfo or a browser. You pay for the stitching and the currency, not for the data. If you have the time to stitch it yourself, the government sites are the right answer.

Why not a full intelligence platform?

Because an exploration team's question is where to work next. That takes the ground itself — claims, property outlines, mining assets and geology — current, and inside the GIS where you already plan your programs, next to your own drilling and geochemistry. That is what we build, and all we build. It connects to ArcGIS, QGIS or MapInfo over open standards, Canadian claims are refreshed every week, and you pay for the territory you work and the people connected at once.

Standards, not lock-in

WMS and WFS are open OGC standards. Your projects keep working with the software you already own, and nothing we do traps your work.

Live, not exports

You connect to the data where it lives. No quarterly shapefile drop, no version of the truth sitting on someone's laptop.

Every figure is dated

Each number on this site shows the day it was measured, and is rounded down. You can check it; nothing is inflated to look bigger.

Upcoming means upcoming

What is not published yet is labelled as such, never sold as available. If a layer is on this site, you can open it.

See it on ground you know.
